Clock Icon

Does anyone else with OCD, find the Clock icon frustrating with darker wallpapers? The outer borders kind of vanish and it makes it appear as a smaller round icon that doesn't match the rest.

Maybe it's just me, but it's bugged me for years. I know I could throw it in a folder, but I like having it as the first icon on my screen.

That's interesting. I've always used black wallpaper and I've never really noticed the difference particularly, until you mentioned it. Now I see it, so thanks for that. It's also roughly the size of the FireFox icon. Sorry that it bothers you.

It's totally fine with lighter wallpaper, but sometimes I like to change things up and that's when I notice it.

Yeah it's really weird that Apple, who is all about design and symmetry, allows this to happen. The text and the home bar dynamically change colour based on the lightness or darkness of your wallpaper, so they do pay attention to these details, just not with the icons.

I think a good solution for them would be to dynamically add a 1px grey border around the black icon on a black wallpaper and do the same for a white icon on a white wallpaper. A bit like white icons which have a border around them in the App Store.

Sounds like a good compromise.
But, things haven't changed after 11 years, so...
