I notice that the widget background change color from white to dark when evening, around 9 i think. Is it possible to choose dark only?

While they miraculously figured out how to sync the time with the Clock app icon (which, btw, has worked perfectly since its inception), they still can't figure out how to make the clock face turn dark in the nighttime and light in the daytime.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I mean, kah-maaahn, it's beta 8 FFS. How many Einsteins and NASA engineers do you need for that!

I think, at this point, that‘s just the way it is. Deep diving into how the widget system works now should tell you that it‘s not made for real time updates with the timeline system.

Chances are this is heavily tied to timeline updates that are already „outdated“ by the time the widget mounts and executes the drawing of the clock hands (which then animates on it‘s own).

That being said, I wouldn‘t expect any of this to change this late into the beta cycle. That and the known issues (e.g. not being able to resize widgets on the home screen) are probably here to stay for the time being.

And as an even worse regression, my clock app icon was also off at one point.

How can they not get this right is beyond me. Beta 8
