Is there a way to close the lid of my macbook pro without it going to sleep? I I havn't been able to find it in the settings anywhere, is it even possible?

If you have an external keyboard, mouse or display, plugging them in and turning them on (or pressing a key/button) should reawaken the MacBook pro when the lid is closed. This is called clamshell mode. :)
