Hi 🙂
Thought that the last iOS made it possibly to close the activity rings only by wearing the iPhone and not the Apple Watch. I can't find any way to activate this. All tips are appreciated 🙂

I think if you have an Apple Watch you can’t. The rings will still only close based on movement when wearing the watch. Totally stupid IMO as there are times when I really don’t want to wear my Apple Watch.

Thanks.
Strange, as Apple made a big deal out of this when they released iOS 16. You should be able to close the activity rings without owning an Apple Watch.

I think you can close them if you don’t have a watch. But if you do, that’s what closes the rings. Stupid!

My iPhone's Activity Move ring functions pretty well, although it would be nice if the other rings would work on it. I don't own an AW.

Before I purchased my AW, the Move ring would increase based on activity picked up from my iPhone. After I got my AW, it seems that only movement picked up from the AW can increase the Move ring.

Thanks for the input. Seems like the same thing goes for me. Absolutely not logical, but i accept it ☺️. It's Apple...
