Closing all windows

I love my Mac, quite the best machine why don't more people have them? I am getting to know all the shortcut keys but have not yet discovered how to close all the windows to get to my desktop. At the moment i have to click on the little yellow but about 5 or 6 times. Is there a quicker way?

Or F11 if you have Exposé.

Alternately, Cmd-option-w will close all windows, and Cmd-option-m will minimize all windows.

Didn't know this Implementation across apps isn't consistent, and it only works within the currently open app, but I like it.

Apple-H hides the current app so you can see your desktop, but Expose is probably the best way to clear all apps from your screen.
