I have a launch day 14 Pro and am having issues closing videos and pictures when I go to press the X on the top left of the screen.

I generally have to try to press the X 3-4 times to get things to close. It doesn’t seem to register the first couple times and I need to press directly on the X a couple times for it to work.

It also happens in landscape mode so I am wondering if this is an iOS 16 issue or if it’s a 14 Pro hardware issue.

Has anyone else come across this? It’s getting annoying.

I've experienced UIs on iOS apps where I have to try a few times before my tap registers, but where specifically are you viewing these videos and pictures? What apps are you using?

But I think this is just the nature of touch interfaces when it comes to small UI elements and variation in people's skin texture, callouses, etc. It can be imprecise.

I originally thought that but haven’t had this issue with other phones / iOS versions.

It’s just stuff on YouTube, Twitter, etc.

Well I can't speak for the 14 since I have a 13PM, but I can speak for iOS 16 since I'm using that--no more issues with my touch gestures registering than with previous iOS versions for me.
