Cloud backups including Applications and System Settings

Been using Backblaze but was recently made aware that it is only backing up User files. It doesn't backup other areas of the computer. Such as the Applications folder, System settings, hidden directories, &c.

Are there any cloud backup options which backup everything? To a degree one would expect from a local Time Machine Backup or even a disk clone.

SuperDuper! can back up the whole system of Macintosh, and the Intego Personal Backup can back up partitions or volumes on your hard drive, they are two apps I had used before, maybe you can have a try

Thanks. As far as I can tell. Those are local or at best local network backups. I'm trying to find something cloud provider based. So, that employees working remotely are always backed up. Plus that the business owner has access to those backups. Without having to depend on them to plug in a hard drive. Nor having to keep some NAS secure and up to date. The thought being a cloud provider can do a better job keeping security up to date than a company with no IT department. As it's a small company. I'm also trying to avoid the enterprise services that run in the thousands per years and are meant for large companies.

Everyone works remotely and most travel frequently.

You could try Arq. You can use Arq software with a number of clouds, or subscribe to Arq Cloud Backup (no software purchase required). I have been using Arq Cloud Backup for several months and I mostly forget it is even installed (i.e., no problems, slowdowns, etc.) (I am not affiliated with Arq except as a customer.)

I can't find the information that Arq Cloud backup would restore a system in the way the OP is describing. Can you link to it?

The only two "automatic" ways to restore a Mac's system that I know of are using Migration Assistant with 1) a Time Machine backup, or 2) a clone of the Mac's hard drive.

I was not thinking of automatic restoration but of cloud options (like Backblaze) that allow you to back up everything - that is how I read OP's question. While not automatic, ARQ does appear to be able to restore even root files - I have not had to do this so I have no experience to share.
