This app (for iOS, Watch, and Mac) allows you to see the current battery status of all your devices that are logged into the same iCloud account. The attached pictures show the current status of all my devices shown on the phone, watch, and Mac. It has the ability to add widgets as well.

I came across the app earlier and when I saw it, I knew that the developer was a member here, and had probably seen my suggestion on the forum for the exact same thing. I am glad someone took my idea and put it to use. I thought others might appreciate the app.

I noticed it as well and tried it out myself.

Unfortunately there is delay or incorrect battery percentage when I e.g. check my iPhone to see what my battery is of my iPad.
I also had hoped to find my bluetooth connected non-Apple device (QCY) to see it's battery power in the widget as well but it didn't see it although connected to my iPhone.
Love the idea though. I still miss the classic Today view widget from Apple that showed connected bluetooth devices and it's power without having a homescreen widget that even shows when there are no devices connected.

Have been using this app' for a little while now having it installed my MacBook Pro (13" late 2014 model), iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Pro. All devices (running their respective latest versions of macOS, iOS and iPadOS) show the battery status of my iPhone, iPad and Apple Pencil, however I can not get any off the devices (including my MacBook Pro) to show the status of my MacBook Pro's battery.

I can't see any permission settings or anything relevant so am not sure why the app' will not show the shatus of my MacBook Pro's battery.

Did you have to tweak or change anything to see the MacBook's battery?

Thanks. Macbook Pro Cloud Battery Widget.png

I don't have the app loaded on my Mac at the moment. However, all synced devices are showing properly on my iPhone and watch. I haven't had to do any special tweaking. If after restarting the app on all devices doesn't work, contact the developer and see what he says.

Hey,

How did you get it to connect to your MacBook? I contacted the developer since I had no success getting it to connect so far.

Make sure your MB is using the same Apple ID. If I remember correctly, I had to reboot the phone and watch before all my devices showed.

Ah ha that is what I did not do to my phone , watch, or tablet!

Thanks.

I have it working now on my iPhone and iPad, however when checking my iPhone and having my iPad in a drawer or as now charged it keeps indicating old battery power (72%) while it is currently 100% but I haven't opened the app/widget on my iPad. It also shows a loading icon in the widget for the iPad on my iPhone.

Sadly it’s also broken for my iPad Pro 11” 2018 as well as for iPhone 11 Pro, in both even with Enabled Background Activity for this app - the widgets does not update when device is in idle. Only opening app forces the restart when this happen.

I noticed the other topic was recently kicked and also now tried 'Charged?' You can remove the ads (0.99 eurocents pay once in-app). It also has homescreen widgets. See also my post in that topic.

I also found another Dutch app called 'Battery Status Overview' (1.99 euro) and also PowerToYou (1.99 euro) which both work with iCloud as well to determine the power of all iDevices and also support homescreen widgets.

I've also created a list of these kind of apps here.

Interesting app but :
"Data Used to Track You" & "Not Linked to You"
"The following data may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies"

Who might be interested in the charge level of my battery ???
You would be surprised, but this kind of information is useful for apps and companies.

I don’t remember well but people tend to overpay the normal cost of driving home when battery is low, so there was a hoax that Uber drive costs you more when your battery is low. This had some proofs and debunks but for sure some apps uses it to learn when we are more likely to do something.

Some might inform other people in chat that your battery is low ( Facebook’s Whatsapp ) might have this feature, also Google Maps when you share your position also share battery level (this one Is based on my experience).
Also sometimes private mode helps you save some money as you are “new” customer.

Also low battery level might be linked with less likely need of usage of some apps so notifications from them might be delayed (thats just my theory) ;)
