Have any of you found anything that is as good or comparable to iCloud, so IF I loose the device, break it, etc and get a new one, I can restore all my apps, pictures, messages, contacts, even phone settings like how Apple restores in such a seamless way?

I am with Verizon so they seemed to have opted to remove the Samsung Cloud feature, and I am not to familiar with how the Verizon Cloud works, But Apples back up makes it literally like you never changed devices since it restores everything as it was on the previous device.

Just curious on what you all use and what is best.

Not as seamless as iCloud but I mainly rely on my Google account. This backs up / catalogues all the things I really care about - apps, contacts, calendar, pictures.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it does messages or home screen layout. If I'm intentially changing phone, I'll back up and restore these via the apps "sms back up and restore" and "Nova launcher" respectively. If I lose the phone and don't have an up-to-date back up of these, it wouldn't really bother me.

I haven't found anything for Android that is similar to iCloud restore functionality. Yes, you can back up photos, apps, app data (and a whole host of other data/info) with various apps / services out there but none come close to Apple's implementation. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but during all my years on Android (dating back to the 2010 Nexus One), I haven't found anything that is as easy as Apple's

quite difficult to be exactly the same as icloud. what if i lost my galaxy but then buy nexus? galaxy has samsung apps while nexus is just a basic android. then think about settings...

iphone is always iphone with apple apps.
