Apparently, it doesn't scale too well. Interesting how they recommend the Woodcrest 5160 (3Ghz) still quite a bit ...

Interesting to see an dual clovertown Mac and its benchmarks ...

yeah, the 8-core really only stands out on the processor intensive benchmarks, such as encoding and rendering. I think the value of the eventual upgrade offering will be in the eye of the beholder. Some people will really benefit from it, some will be very happy with their current machine.
