If this one is the reference model with just one 6-pin PCIe power connector, forget it.

Lot's of users here that damaged the PCIe slot by the excessive power draw of the RX 480 reference model.

The AMD Radeon RX 480 reference model was a so big fiasco that changed the way all GPUs draw power from the PCIe slots since then.

RX 460/560 works with just one mini-PCIe 6-pin. Do not buy the versions without the PCIe power connector, won't work correctly with a MacPro5,1.

RX 480 non reference model, RX 570/580/590 require a dual 6-pin miniPCIe to 8-pin PCIe.

I wrote about the Asus RX 570, not the RX 560.

Anyway, the model that require one 6-pin PCIe works, the models that only require PCIe slot power, do not work correctly.

I thought Apple recommended the MSI RX560 officially? I have one here working correctly in MP5.1 and even 7,1. Is this the exception? It has no PCIE power connector.

I have the RX580 (from Asus?), worked perfectly smooth. I ordered the pci power connectors from eBay.
