Hello,
for my mac pro (4,1 2009-> 5,1) i need a ton of dedicated usb ports for all my midi controllers because i don't want to mess around with hubs anymore.

so i was looking for some PCIe cards but it seems there are many incompatibility issues for sierra

2 x 4 port USB PCIe cards would be perfect but cannot find them

seems like the inateck is incompatible and the other one i found only has 2 ports

can someone give me a hint to what look for ?

actually i prefer USB 2 but USB 3 should be fine as well

Incompatible with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite or above

That card is fine. It is the KT-4004, which uses the same USB chipset as the nMP, so it uses built-in drivers in OS X and requires no third party software support from the mfr.

I personally use it with Sierra on my 2009.

hi, the card is the ktu3fr-4p1, are there different version? How do I identify the KT-4004 part?

It said KT4004 in the Amazon listing that was linked. The model number you give is not mentioned anywhere and a Google search comes up completely blank, so I have no idea what that is.
