I'm trying to setup Google Apps for my domain and I'm having some trouble making a CNAME entry.

I need to make a mail.mydomain.com CNAME point to Ghs.Google.com.

My hosting server is running Direct Admin and I have the following fields available when I make a new DNS record:

Name / Type / Value

I currently have mail.mydomain.com entered in the name, CNAME in the type, and ghs.google.com in the value. When I perform a CNAME lookup on mail.mydomain.com it yields ghs.google.com.mydomain.com.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Put a . after com, so that the DNS server knows you mean the root of the tree.
