I wish they would get their facts straight, especially facts that may persuade someone in their buying decision.

"Contrary to earlier reports, the SIM card is removable via a small drawer on the top of the iPhone, but the iPhone's SIM card will not work in other AT&T phones."

For the record and for anyone else worrying about it... This is completely false.

You CAN use the SIM in other phones. I used my iPhone SIM in a Razr and a Nokia E62.

This really annoys me when they obviously haven't eve tested features they are bashing.

I have sent a plea for a change in the article, and would advise that anyone else do so as well. This should be changed immediately.

Does data work? Initially it did, but it seems that there are lots of reports of the data no longer working on other phones.

CNet is a complete disgrace. It has gone terribly downhill since the days of Sophie Formica and Ryan Seacrest were hosts back in the mid 90's.

The reviews are incredibly and shamelessly biased and frequently misinformed if not outright purposely misleading. The writers are desperately and futilely attempting to recover the mantra of "coolness" their forebears wore with such ease.

CNet is essentially the Fox News of the tech reporting realm- Unfair, exceedingly biased, and utterly hypocritical. Sadly, there is no way to hold their shameless fairy tale reporting to any standard of accountability so long as their corporate masters pay the bills.

I looked on there the other day, and they gave the iPhone an 8.0. I was really surprised it even got that.

I was shocked they gave the iphone an 8.0, but then remembered the CNET rule of thumb: If it costs at least 50% more than the average for that product, it must be a good choice.

If you read CNET reviews, especially for cameras and camcorders (I did a lot of research into these recently so its on my mind), anything in the "entry level" market gets **** upon by CNET, and chances are they encourage the reader to purchase the next highest price band choice. So for example on cameras, I defy anyone to find a BRAND NEW camera that retails for under 200 that CNET actually liked. Under 300 for camcorders. They flat out don't do it.
