SAN JOSE, California (AP) -- Apple Computer Inc. said Tuesday it will begin shipping this week the new MacBook Pro, the company's first laptop computer to feature an Intel Corp. microprocessor.

Apple, which is in the midst of a historic shift to Intel chips, last month introduced its first Intel-based desktop computer, the iMac G5, about six months ahead of schedule.

Ehh, if I wasn't hip to the Apple lingo I'd probably be calling them iMac G5s still. But then again, if they are CNN they need to do their research and get it right. I'd say it isn't that big of a deal though.
 
It's a big deal when you consider slips like this are getting through far to often in mainstream media... Fact checking is/was an artform that is no longer truley appreciated...

I constantly have to correct writers work when it comes to me.. and thats not my job.. they should know the "facts" they're putting in articles...
 
There was an AP article about the opening ceremonies for the Olympics this year, where the author described the Ferrari as "fire-engine red".

what idiots....get this...i was in a gas station buying some beer...when i look at the counter and they are selling cell phone ear pieces, and ear buds. On the box of the ear buds box it has a pic of a ipod...and it said " Great earbuds for you Pm3 player !!!

I saw the same ones. Everytime I see a mistake like this it makes me wonder how much these idiots are getting paid to screw up.
