Cntl C -> Cntl V?

Ive noticed that the Cut & Paste technique that I used for many years on my PC's, doesn't work on the iMac. What is the Apple way of performing Cntl C -> Cntl V?

Swap out control for command. I like to think of it as though I'm issuing the computer a command.

OMG, another Cut N Paste thread? I'm sure you'll find out soon enough that it doesn't work in Finder so before you go through the trouble posting about it, just understand that there's no workaround.

Pedantic-ism: Cut is ctrl/command-X. So the OP is really asking for 'copy and paste'.

It doesn't work with Control + C/V/X/etc.
You gotta press Command.
That's how it works on Macs.

Frick, that's so annoying. Just another reason for me to avoid Windows as much as possible.
