I have an early edition iMac 20" (CD2)... Everytime that I try to burn a DVD+R DL disc, I get errors... Burning CDs or regular DVDs isn't a problem...

This problem started recently.. I was able to burn them before... Is my drive gone bad and time to be replaced?

This happens when I try both Disk Utility and Toast... The drive is a MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-846....

If it needed to get replaced, what's recommended?

These are the errors that I get when I try to burn a DVD-DL disc.. Also, they're Verbatims.. Never had problems before.

Thank you for the funny pics and comments...

But I'm asking for help if anyone knows why I get these errors only on DL dvd's and not on regular dvd's or cd's...

Was there a firmware update or something that I missed??

Any applicable firmware updates should appear in Apple Software Update.

It may very well be you have a bad run of blanks, even though you have been successful with the company before. Not sure if Verbatim makes their own product or sources it from an OEM, but either way, sometimes you get a bad run...
