Just wanted to let everyone that uses Coconut Battery for Mac that there was an update today. This new update allows you to view your iOS battery stats via WiFi and you are no longer required to plug the device in. This works extremely well for monitoring background battery drain, as you can watch the discharge rate.

There is a small catch, its a $9.95 one-time charge after a free trial, but you can use it on all of your computers. I have it on my two. I've been using Coconut battery for years now so personally its well worth the $9.95 price, especially to be able to have wireless usage and see discharge rates again.

Most of you know I am a strong proponent of Coconut battery and I highly recommend it.
*I should note; I am not affiliated with Coconut battery or the developer, just a big fan.

Shame they slapped a price on it especially as the iBetterCharge app does it for free.

Very convenient. Im cheap though.
I'm very cheap as well. But I figure after using the application with frequent updates for 5+ years, its worth paying $9.95 for. I'm really glad I am able to track discharge usage again. Haven't been able to since iOS 10.
