CoconutBattery Problem

I have PowerBook 12' for 2 years and now the battery is only able to run for 10 minutes. I try to download CoconutBattery to detect the problem.

At the first time it launched, without charging the battery, it showed that my battery current capacity is only 3% from the original ones (132mAh instead of 4400mAh), and when the battery reached zero, my PowerBook sleep automatically.

Strangely, after plug in the computer to the power outlet, the computer was turned on and the CoconutBattery show that the current battery capacity is 65151 mAh, while the Original Battery Capacity become N/A. Also the battery meter on the toolbar display that it needs 200 hours to charge the laptop, however the battery condition is still the same.

I have uninstalled CoconutBattery, reset nvram, reset PMU, but the battery meter still show that it needs plenty time to charge. Once it charged, the battery indicator display that the battery will run for 50 hours or more, but in 10 minutes it will be dead like before.

How to resolve that issue, to show the actual battery capacity (to 132mAh from 65151mAh) as before I installed CoconutBattery?

Time for a new battery, so it seems.

Sorry to tell you this but it's time for a new battery. I recently bit the bullet and ordered one. From reports around the forum, us Rev B'ers (1Ghz) got a bit jipped on the old battery front.

It's not a problem with CoconutBattery.

I think that I will order a replacement battery. But I am afraid that if I put the new battery, my PowerBook still recognise the 65151 mAh from the old memory, even the new battery is only 4400mAh. Don't you think so?
