COD2 ON MBP (late 2009) weird mouse

i´m trying to play Call of Duty 2 on my MBP from late 2009 and i dont know why but my mouse is not really accurate i ve a steelseries XAI laser mouse and it suppose to work with mac and it does but not accurate it doesnt work smooth outside the game either it works fine for normal use but not for gaming i dont think that its the mouse bcs i also ve a logitech and it has the same problems.

The issue is mostly mouse acceleration and sensitivity. Need 3rd party apps to get it right. I'm using USB Overdrive and it helps but would still like better performance on the MAC side.
