COD4 mac osx internet

everytime i try to join an online game in COD4 it kills my internet. this just started. usually it wont even refresh any games. my favorites list will just have ip addresses and won't load the other info. if i try to join it freezes or times out. once i quit the game the internet for the doesn't work for anythign else until i put it asleep or disconnect. any ideas?

Not sure whats causing that. Have you updated to the latest version of COD4?

i'll check if they have had any recent updates. i'm on 1.714 or something. its the weirdest thing. if i have to reinstall, any idea on what file to save for my multiplayer profile?
