COD4 Profile transfer

If I had a profile from Call of Duty 4 that I was using to play on cracked servers, would I be able to transfer this profile (by copying the associated profile folders to the new COD4 installation directory) to a legitimate version of the game to play on the official COD4 servers? Would my key get banned?
