From a design standpoint, having the images lumped lazily on top of each other looks atrocious, not to mention the fact that you can't even see the full image without clicking on it. I can't believe this was implemented - for being all about design, Apple sh*t the bed on this one. There was nothing wrong with having multiple images in messages be uniform like they always have been. This new "feature" is complete garbage and I don't believe there is a way to turn it off. If anyone knows of a way, please let me know.

I am also in favor of this - it beats receiving a vertical list of photos taking up all the real estate creating excessive scroll, and the quick dump button to the photos app is much appreciated.

I suppose the intention is to reduce clutter. Imagine how this could help especially in a group convo.

Perhaps making this optional would be nice (don't think they'd do it though), like I wouldn't want everything in stacks on the Mac either.

There's so much wrong with the new OS, again this is another answer too a question nobody asked.
That in a nutshell is how I feel about many "changes". For instance: does taking away Do Not Disturb when the phone is locked answer a nagging question?

I prefer this way much better. It’s way easier to see multiple photos, instead of having to scroll through all my messages when someone sends me multiple photos.
