2006 turned out to be a very colourful photography year... I can't wait to see what 2007 will bring.

If you can call the sun a lightbox, yes. It is a blossoming tree. Red rose..

Pretty but poisonous...

No, just standing under the tree, looking up and metering on the flowers.
This one was late at night under a highway underpass... and yes, I had had a few to drink.

What a lovely brown colour...

Tried to focus on the water drop... you see mirrored upside down what is behind it.

Sun in front of the camera... making lovely shades of green through the tall grass.

The colours and paterns are real... the blues and whites are sky and clouds reflecting in the water, the black is where there is no reflection and you see the bottom of the water.

I love to play with depth of field.

I'd venture to guess that the ban is a direct result of Coldrain's behavior in a few threads, which violated several of the stated policies and rules governing these forums and this website.

Question 1: No, unless you repeatedly make multiple posts in a row, even after warnings from a moderator.

Question 2: I don't know how long it would be, since it's never happened.

Colourful 1956

Fifty years ago was colourful, too. Going through an old box of slides in my attic, I discovered this shot my mother took with her Rolleiflex in the Persian Gulf in 1956 (RN Frigate HMS Loch Fyne, for the ship-spotters ):
