Hello
I recently bought an AOC U2777PQU monitor and only used it a little for office work during the last 3 weeks.
Today i started using it for some graphical work, and noticed a huge amount of color banding on all gradients. I tried with several display adaptors and inputs, with the same result. My colleague's HP monitor with similar specs have no issues when connected to my macbook, using the same adaptor cable.
What to do now? What are your experiences, will it be replaced, repaired or will you just get a "f*ck off" response from the retailer? I fear that I'll end up spending a lot of time fighting with the webshop...
How the new AOC 4K monitor looks - notice the vertical "bars" for every color tone.
How the gradient looks on my Macbook Pro (smooth from left to right)
Unfortunately I'm over the 14 days return period, otherwise I could just have returned it with no explanation.
But I really don't believe that a monitor which claims the following on their website, should look like this....
