Color calibrating iMac and creating an image from it?

We have a bunch of iMacs and want to color calibrate them. Can you color calibrate one of them, create an image from it, and just copy the image to the other iMacs? OR is it better to color calibrate the Macs individually?

They each must be done separately. The best way is use a tool like X-Rite ColorMunki: http://amzn.com/B0055MBQOM

Your best bet is to do each one individually, though if they're the same model, you may be satisified with the result if you used the same profile.

I guess what I'm saying it, its best do them separately but you may be satisfied by the result if you import the color profile from the calibrated one.

Calibrate them individually as joema 2 says with a colormeter.

Since they are all identical with hardware specs and OS, why do they need to be calibrated individually?

Because each panel has a tolerance and is different. Only reading the colours on your screen with a colormeter will give you an accurate profile.
