Hello,

I am searching for a neat color palette app where I can test and play with various color ideas. I have been using Palettes Pro on iOS for years for this. On macOS there was an app (forgot its name) that did something similar but it was discontinued a year ago. What are you guys using?

Thank you!

Perhaps download https://www.alfredapp.com and then create your own keyboard shortcut to the Adobe link https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/

T'anks, superscape. I didn't realize Adobe had a page for that.

Sounds very complicated. I can just type the address in the browser myself. Also, as mentioned above, I'm looking for a Mac app.

You can add the Adobe color wheel (Which is excellent, IMHO) as a web-widget in Dashboard, therefore always having it at hand.

The above is a valid point.

Is there a reason you need it as a macOS app, and can't use the web page? I'd have though the web page would be a better option - it's not taking up space on your Mac when you're not using it.

Maybe you're often in places with poor internet access?

The website Superscape linked to used to be called Kuler. That Adobe webpage/site is built-in to their apps now.

If you're using Photoshop or Illustrator, etc., look for the Extensions>Adobe Color Themes panel. I am unaware of a stand-alone app that does what Adobe CC Color does, but I'm sure one is out there.

Also, give Skala Color a try for use in apps other than Adobe... it's free.
