Color Problem on Screen When Boot to Mac but not Windows

Hi,
I have a mac mini that boots to either Windows or Mac at startup. While my babysitter and son were home something happened to the colors on the screen. When it boots up to the Mac there is a purple tint to most of the images and the webpage backgrounds look black not white. I don't think its a problem with the monitor, since when I boot to Windows all the colors are normal. I tried playing with the display settings on the control panel and reseting the color with the monitor buttons but that didn't help. The monitor is a flat screen Samsung SyncMaster. The babysitter said my son just pressed some buttons on the keyboard and that's how it ended up like that....

Check your Universal Access settings - a high contrast setting may have been applied...

Alternatively go to your display settings and check the selected colour profile. Select the colour profile that matches the name of your attached monitor. If you don't know the most appropriate one to choose, select one that starts with 'sRGB'

If you are still getting a shift in colours, you should use the calibrate feature in the same dialog box.

Both Windows and Mac use ICC files for colour profiles and I've managed to use the same physical file on both platforms to ensure the same colour accuracy (as I'm using the same hardware in both cases). This is not recommended when using different hardware.

You have the "inverted color" aka "white on black" option turned on by a key combo!
You can find under System Prefs, Universal Access...

Press ctrl+alt+cmd+8 !

This is funny trick to do a friends mac if he doesnt know it or in a store where they have macs!
