I own a 1,86 GHz 128 SSD since last january.

Everything with it is perfect, since I didn´t notice any of those weird lines in the screen (mine is 9C90), and even though its brightness is not as high as many of you say (not even close to that of my iMac).

The only minor issue about the screen is that I find a lack of contrast in it. Soft colours are hardly visible.

For instance, those white and blue stripes in the background of the main window of XCode... I didn´t know they existed until I saw them in my iMac. In the Air, this window is almost white.

Other example: I don´t see also (well, I do now, that I know they are there) the thin lines within the yellow notes screen of Mail.

Can those issues be solved changing the colour profile?

Thanks in advance

Such a dumb question I did?

Well, the posibilities for not getting a single answer are:

1) The question is so trivial, that there is no point answering
2) My Air is the only with that issue, so nobody cares
3) Another screen thread... next one
4) Colour profiles, what are these?
5) Today is the newbie day... let him wonder

Have you tried adjusting the Color profile in System Preferences>Displays>Color?

If none of the included profiles work well for you do a Calibrate.

Thanks for your answer.

I asked because I wanted to know if that happened to anyone else, before touching the color profile preferences (I am afraid of changing anything that couldn´t be restored later, as I am new to this kind of preferences).

I tried the other profiles included, but they are even worse (too blue).

Next thing I´ll try is the calibrate option in that panel.

Don't worry about breaking anything, just create a new one and play with it accordingly. I do find the default on to be too washed out. Send me a private message with your email if you want a copy of mine and I will forward the file.

Thank you N0de.

Now that I know it was all because of color profiles adjustment, I feel confident trying new ones.

If I knew it was all about that, I shouldn´t start this (now I see) stupid thread. Sorry.

(my email, btw, is my user, at me.com)

Thanks again
