There's like a page and a half of problems which is going to accompany my Macbook Pro (already previously on the Applecare bench where they only fixed the actually warped lower casing, natch) for service.
I'd like to clarify something about the MBP's matte screen so that I can list it clearer as a fault. I've never, ever been able to calibrate it so that colours look somewhat 'normal' (normal to me being what's shown on an ACD or any Dell display / PC combo). The best match I can get is with the Adobe RGB (1998) profile but this has a still unnaturally blueish tint. Otherwise the (calibrated) screen is washed out, with an yellowish tint.
The display also suffers from the banding problems referred to in other threads.
Is this colour issue actually a fault, or am I doing something wrong with the calibration? Just wanted to make sure before I add it to the extremely-polite, extremely-detailed, extremely-final-before-I-instruct-attorneys-to-request-Apple-refund-this-machine-as-well note.
