Hi,
I have a wired Apple keyboard that I attached on my Mac sometime ago. It was functioning perfectly fine. Suddenly, the column of keys F2, 2, W, S and X stopped working.

I tried the keyboard on my Macbook Air, same results. Then I tried it on a Windows laptop and again the same result.

There was no spillage on the keyboard or any sort of physical damage. It just suddenly stopped working out of blue.

When I try to go Change Keyboard Type in preferences, it gives me an error that the keyboard cannot be identified (upon pressing the Z key as instructed).

I followed a few guides online and disabled Mouse Keys in Accessibility and did some other tinkering locally on my Mac, but to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.
