I have paid for the Pro version of EtreCheck and run it once monthly.
Today on my 2020 iMac, SSD, macOS 13.2, EtreCheck spit out two alerts, which I have attached, indicating a problem with com.apple.WebKit taking up too much RAM and using too much of the CPU.
Searching the Apple Support site I found this:
It's using up a ton of memory because of a processor-intensive website or websites that you're on. Any website that has a lot of video/audio/Flash/Java/etc. will cause that. It's basically exactly what it says — the content of the websites.
Should I just quit Safari from time to time to fix that?
