I own a single CPU cMP 2009 and a dual CPU cMP 2010, both working well.
The older 4,1 machine has been flashed to 5,1 and both have Bootrom v144 installed.

I like the case of the 4,1 machine better as it looks nicer from the outside and seems less worn from the inside, so I want to use it with the more powerful inner life of the 2010 machine, what means that I have to swap parts.

My questions is, what should be swapped/what can be left (logic board, fans, PSU, expansion card…) given that I want the dual CPU tray to be running in the nicer 2009 case? And how to make sure that I use the better parts in all regards (fans, cables …)?

Thanks for any hint.

You need to swap backplane and cpu board.

Other parts are same.

take a look at the psu, use the Delta, thats the better one.
