If you're talking about c&c3 TW, then you need to make sure that you apply the game patches sequentially. I think it's 1.04->1.08->1.09.

But it's a .exe file that's for Windows.. I can't find the Mac version aso what's all about the "Patch" thing? is it something to make the game full or something? What should I do? Download the patch first or the game? need help here guys

They are providing these patches so they don't need to ship out the full DVD media disk to all the individuals that bought the game with the latest fixes. It updates some of the game files that were installed on your Mac/PC. It is the same concept as using Software Update on your Mac to get your Leopard updated with the latest fixes.
I believe if you subscribe to VersionTracker Pro, it can hunt down updates on the programs you own so help automate the process of keeping your programs up-to-date. It did back when I subscribed to it.
