I'm new to the iphone and have what is probably a very basic question. I've reviewed MANY software products (e.g. wondershare, handbrake, popcorn3, QT Pro, etc.). I simply want to be able to rip my legally purchased commercial DVDs like I can with my CDs on itunes and then convert it to a format that itunes can put on my phone. It appears to me that all of these applications only work with your own family/camera style DVDs. Would some of you experienced geniuses give me some insight? How can achieve my rather simple objective?

I use HandBrake and have never had a problem.
Insert DVD
Select in HandBrake
Choose output size (iPhone) which is very convenient
Wait
Drag into iTunes
Sync
Enjoy
