This may be of interest to those who, like me, came to Apple by way of Commodore or are keen on studying a once-giant player in the computer industry.

Brian Bagnall's Commodore: A Company on the Edge is the definitive account of the company's history until Jack Tramiel's departure. Bagnall has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund his next book, Commodore: The Amiga Years, which will examine the period up to CBM's bankruptcy.

The Amiga is the machine that Apple's Jean-Louis Gassee is quoted as saying once made everyone at Apple "scared as hell".

(I'm not associated with the project – – I'm just a fan.)

Great machine that wasted many years of my life. Lemmings and syndicate were my main two titles closely followed by worms!
