I'm going to be developing a new website for a rodeo association and I'm looking for a good CMS to support communications and membership administration. Ideally, members would be able to pay their dues/renew online and also manage their contact information.
I would like the software to allow selected members to contribute to the site. Also of course, we'd like to have some forum capabilities, mailing list, polling, etc. I've looked at Mambo but I've been a little confused by the configuration of it. Also, I tend to be very picky about the site aesthetics, so I like to have a very clean interface.
Any suggestions on open-source solutions? Also, does anyone know of a good reference for beginners using Mambo?
