Company Domain Alias W/ MobileMe

I have searched but cannot find a straight answer. I want to send emails using MobileMe from my company alias.

So, I would like my outgoing email to send as name@company.com instead of being forced to use a .me alias.

Is this possible?

Quite. It's the reason I'm not going to be using Mobile Me, as I use numerous email addresses in my own domain and there's no way I'm changing that.

Well, it's your business, but MobileMe isn't considered to be a business-class service (and the terms of service say that its not intended for business use). For example, there are no assurances of uptime; I really hope no "business users" were affected by the (early) multi-day MM outage, as it probably sucked to have no email for days and days. On the other hand, free gmail also has no uptime assurances, although you can upgrade to the non-free google apps to get them (but even google isn't perfect, as evidenced by the short outage, recently).

Also, unlike gmail, note that MM's webmail interface is not secure. If you access MM webmail via an open (e.g., public) access point, hackers might be able to see your email.

If "company.com" refers to your company and you own the domain, you can use gmail/google apps to do what you want. I use it for my personal email using a personalized domain - free and easy.
