Hi,
Looking for advice. Purchased PowerPhoto in order to try and merge 2 Photo libraries (the 800GB into the 1TB) and discard the duplicate. The issue is that the software bugs down, becomes very slow or unresponsive. I doubt it's the machine because its a i7 3.4, 32GB ram and running those libraries off a thunderbolt 1 drive external drive.

I know that most of it is duplicate but I know for sure that there are some unique.

Of course, I can't really go 1 by 1, there is around 50k of pictures

Would you have any tips for me?

Thanks

There’s a tool called Beyond Compare, and it works very well with large number of files. You can’t move metadata around with it, but if you can work on a file level, it’s a great tool. It has a fully functional free trial.

Yes I heard of that software and I might have used it on Windows decades ago.

Does it compare by hash?
