Compass and Maps no longer working

The compass and Maps app are no longer working. When I press the compass app the compass is stuck on North and when I press the maps app it will not show my locaton (blue dot). I have gone to setings and turned off and on location services several times but it didn't help.

Has anyone had this problem?
