Compatibility of a 3g display in a 3gs

Hi

DOes anyone know if a 3g lcd panel will work in a 3gs? The connectors look the same, but I have not been able to compare them in person.

your best bet would be to look for some deconstruction pictures

besides the glass the displays should be the same, but the ribbon cable might not be 100% the same

I haven't tried it but I would think it 'might' work. Like you say the connectors are the same but when I purchase the LCD's for repairs the new 3GS LCD is more expensive than the 3G one.

If you have one lying around why not try it? Unless you're asking before you buy one.

the 3GS parts are not compatible with 3G and vice versa
