Hi is it possible to compile android source code on M1 , looking to build a custom rom on Android and wondering if i will run into any problems ? do i need a x86 system

The Android SDK Android Studio package for Mac says it supports ARM-based Macs. That should include the command-line tools. So presumably you'd be able to build it.
