Ok, I have decided to buy Windows Vista and install it on my iMac (17") via Boot Camp. The problem is, I have no idea what to buy, what to look for etc. My step-dad was my helper before he moved away, so now I have to *gasp* fend for myself.

My questions are:

1. I am primarily doing this so that I can play mmorpgs like Everquest 2. What version of Vista will I need? Home? Home Premium? There's like 10 of them and I have no idea which one to buy.

2. I can't figure out if my 17" iMac is a 32 bit system or a 64 bit system. All I know is that its 2 GHz Core 2 Duo with 1GB of Memory. I guess this is important since I see some Vista products are 32 bit and some are 64.

3. Is it safe to buy Vista on Ebay? How can they sell it for so cheap? It seems like I would get ripped off but has anyone else bought a copy from Ebay?

I'm sure I'll have more questions but I'll start with those.

Thanks.

4. Let's say I get a virus on the partitioned portion of the disk. Will it affect the OS X side?

umm if its just for gaming i wouldnt even recommend vista xp is a sure way to play games, buying vista online is a 50/50 since the user could have completly activated the software and it would be useless and for getting a virus on the windows side will not affect your mac at all.
