I am ready for a reinstall of macOS, and think if there ever was a good reason, Catalina is it.
So, do I do everything from scratch?
Options are:
1) Format SSD, install Catalina, utilities and applications from scratch. Only use KeyChain from iCloud.
2) Format SSD, install Catalina. Import profile from Time Machine, including utilities and applications. Use KeyChain from iCloud.
3) Install Catalina from USB stick on top of existing installation.
I am leaning towards option 1. Sure it’ll take me a few days, but I have 1.2Gbit internet, so it’s OK.
But, how much crab do I continue to have to live with, using option 2.
Option 3 is how I have done the last many macOS upgrades, including from Mojave to Catalina Alpha/Beta.
