Got any recommendations? Does it even exist?

Going to the British Virgin Islands for my honeymoon in a month and would love to be able to take video of my snorkeling excursions.

TIA!

Yeah I actually was on that site.

Obviously, trusting my iPhone 5 to a company and case to keep it from drowning is a anxiety-ridden experience, so I was hoping for some personal recommendations from MR (I trust you guys a lot more :D)

I use them all the time when I'm out on my bike or on the boat. Never drowned an iPhone yet. Plus they work with almost any case. :D
Not sure about underwater photography though. Might just want to get a disposable gadget for that. They do sell disposable underwater video cameras.

My brother used to use the Life Proof case. Stay away. Numerous problems with it.

I would go with Watershot since they make waterproof housings for cameras. The one for the iPhone has a clear back so you can see the o-ring and takes gopro accessories. They are waterproof to 130 ft. You could probably sell it after your trip. It's a housing so you can't use the phone to talk when installed. You might also consider a cheap disposable underwater camera.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyone else want to weigh in?

I can say the life proof is good but sometimes no one can hear me and I cant hear them. I just recieved the catalyst and already sent it back and waiting on a replacement. No body could hear me on it.

I am using Otterbox Armor for a week now and just love it. The sound is almost perfect, screen sensitivity is ok. Rugged, waterproof, shockproof, bulit like a tank and gorgeous looking.

I should mention that I will hardly be using it other than this trip, and for snorkeling/boating/beach activities, and certainly won't be making calls on my honeymoon (except for emergency ones).

That change anything?

Like I said, get a bag. Cheaper and works better.

Use double bagging will work!!Way cheaper than getting a 80 bulks lifeproof case. ;)

I'd go with the a lifeproof. Aside the oil slicks, there is nothing wrong with the case from my experience.

Lifeproof

I use the Lifeproof (probably rev 4 - high serial number) and it's awesome. Screen protector sits very flush against screen. There was a thread on the revisions on this already, but assuming you buy a high serial number (mine is 890,000ish) you'll be fine. They fixed all the issues they had before. The thing I like best is the case is very light and doesn't add much bulk to the phone (not to mention it's waterproof). Hope this helps.

I actually saw a pretty cool one in sky mall magazine on a delta flight the other day. I forget the name of it, and never heard of it before, but it was $79.

The LifeProof case does work.

I have Liquipel on my phone and it makes it sort of waterproof, but I wouldn't intentionally dunk it, especially not in salt water.

why are we starting new thread everytime someone decides to get a new case...use the search forum feature, scroll up and down a little...yea many people have used atlas, lifeproof any otterbox..look at the previous threads and their reviews which they put so much time into, instead of just opening a new thread.
people here have invested so much time in taking pictures, writing pros and cons and all other experiences and you completely ignored all of them.

Lifeproof case is awesome. :) Have some buddies that will drink their draft beer while their phone is sitting in the glass haha.
