Gotta just go try them out. I got one for ~$50 at Target for my apartment at school. It's ok but generally for office type chairs you get what you pay for. Just try a few and see what you like.

my dad is tough to shop for, this year we decided a new computer chair was in order since he spends a majority of his day in it. i found him a really nice sealy posturpedic memory foam chair at office max, it was like $190, but it's like being in a la-z-boy, haha.

I always had the regular chairs you always see behind a desk. But a while ago I bought a Skruvsta from Ikea. From all the computer chairs they had standing around there, this was a really good one.

It's very relaxed and has good support for your back. On the pictures it seems like your arms will slide off, but they don't; it's all good. Perfect for desk work, and it has a lever you can pull out so it'll lean back all the way; very good for watching tv, reading a book with your feet on the desk, etc. :) Oh yeah, and it's light and for $139.00 not that expensive for its kind.

Give it a try!

I don't know. I haven't bought a chair, I'm using the rocking chair that we've had in our house for a while. I put the two surround speakers for my PC on it, it's very relazing to sit in lol.

Ergonomic Office Chairs

I'm stuck with an uncomfortable office depot special. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to chairs.

I'm looking to buy a better chair myself, being in front of the computer all day, but I can't afford a really good ergonomic chair yet. The Aeron is great, but I have found some other chairs in the same price range that I like better. Check out: http://www.my-officechairs.com/ergonomic_office_chairs/index.php

I'm looking into getting a proper leather chair and a proper maple wood desk.

My current chair is a cheapy £50 fake leather one from argos, it was comfy for the first few days, then the seating padding just disintegrated....

Plus the desk sucks... :p

If you live near any tech companies, watch for when they go out of business. A friend of mine bought one for $100 at auction when a local place folded.

Oh your lucky friend...

To save money I went with the Mirra. Makes me happy. :)

I have that exact same chair, but in Blue. It is actually quite sturdy in my opinion... a good cushion makes all the difference. The height of the back is just right. We could do far worse I think! :D
