So, you don't like the latest computer? the OS is buggy? too many writes to the SSD? maybe you'd like it to be 1977 and you're considering buying the newest gadget on the market. this one has the Z80 processor, clocked at 1.78 MHz, 4k ram with the TRSDOS. The TRS-80 from Radio Shack, but be willing to fork out $399. But later prices were close to $600, which in 2020 was the equivalent of $2,200. Now stop your complaining and go buy one!

I want to complain!

My very first hard drive was a 80MB 5¼" (~13,3 cm) Seagate mechanism, enclosed in a Classic Mac footprint box that I got in 1988 for $650 (~ 547,87 €) (2021: $1,515.90; ~1.277,72 €).

My complaint is that same capacity today would only cost $0.002 (~0.00169 €) and I feel I was overcharged!!!1!!1!!

I had one. It used a cassette tape deck as a hard drive, and had a BASIC interpreter in ROM. You could buy an aftermarket "Level III BASIC" extension that added extra commands. That was literally the very first commercial product ever sold by "MicroSoft" and was, according to the manual, "written by MicroSoft president William Gates."

I wonder how he ended up doing.
