Hi everyone !

This morning I just noticed that my macbook was very hot even though I had turned it off before I went to sleep, or so I thought. I left it charging, so I presumed it was that, but when I tried to turn it on a couple of hours later I noticed that I couldn't do it and that the fan was on.

It was a black screen and I left the power botton pressed until I heard the fan was off, then I turned it on and it was all cool. Then about 20 min. ago I went to register the computer at campus and when I turned it off same thing happened. The screen turned off but then I felt it was still hot and put the computer near my ear and the fan was on.

I opened it and click the keyboard and bottons and the screen did not respond, then I just repeated the same procedure of pushing the power botton until the fan stopped.

what can I do? why does this happen? anyone here know what can I do?

thanks in advance

This was the last symptom our Macbook had before it wouldn't come back on. Apple ended up replacing the logic board. Not what you want to hear, but call Applecare.

I see you are in IL

curious thing I bought my mac in Oakbrook. The main probelm is that I was just visiting and actually live in Mexico.

What other symptoms did you have? what model did you buy?
