Computer to Computer - Help!

Hello.
Ive done some searching around, but haven't quite found the specific answer to my question.

Could I connect an Apple TV device to a computer to computer network via my macbook. (Keep in mind, no internet can be involved. This connection would be purely macbook created network to Apple TV)

I'm not sure if this is possible. Can someone possibly test. You can easily create the wifi network by going to your network indicator -> create network -> name it -> click ok

Then just see if Apple TV will recognize the signal?

Just to clarify, you're talking about an AdHoc network, as in, no router/DHCP server/access point either? Just the two machines and the ATV?

Yes. Adhoc would be the correct term
