My imac g5 has taken to not closing down without me physically pushing the on off button. It seems to hang on the grey screen with the rotating circle icon. I have run onyx to do all the scripts and repair permissions etc.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Do you have very much free space on your boot drive? Do you have any peripherals plugged in or connected? Have you tried using Disk Utility to verify your drive? :)

Thanks for that. I verifed and repaired permissions and it seems ok now. I thought that the onyx scripts would do that...but it seems they don't.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
